This year, the 12th International Students’ Gathering organized by UDEF with the slogan of “For a Just World, From East to West” in 51 countries and 91 different cities has concluded its series of colorful events in Niger.
The event, which was held in Niger’s capital, Naimey saw a solid attendance of international students and students from Niger willing to pursue higher studies in Turkey. Further, UDEF representative for Niger Sami Fadel, Coordinator of Turkish Maarif Foundation for Niger Vekili Dr. Mehmet Celen, President of the Niger Muslim Women’s Union Huda Muhammed Sadik, Hayrat Foundation Nigerian representative Mehmet Fatih Marangoz attended the event.
After the recitation of Quran from an Egyptian student Abdullah Ali Yusuf, UDEF representative Sami Fadel presented his inaugural speech. Muhammed Hamza Nedimoglu who attended the event on behalf of UDEF, expressed his pleasure for the completion of the events of 12th International Student Gathering in Niger, which brings dozens of colors and hundreds of cultures together.
Later in the event, President of Niger Muslim Women’s Union, Huda Muhammed Sadik mentioned about the youth and international students related activities and goals. Further, he thanked UDEF for their activities that are of great help to the international students.
Dr. Mehmet Celen, Coordinator of Turkish Maarif Foundation for Niger mentioned about the significance of international students in terms of their own country and Turkey as well
The association of Turkish Alumni in Niger briefed about their eagerness in establishing the civilian and social structure in Niger taking Turkish norms as a role model.
The cultural performances in the end of event added vibrant colors to it. The participants were served with local Nigerian delicacies.
