UDEF’s 12th International Students’ Gathering that will be held in 91 cities of 51 countries this year was recently held in Kosovo.
First Secretary of Turkish Consulate General Pristina Ismail Cenk Sen, First Secretary of Turkish Ambassador for Kosovo Onur Tanay, UDEF 2nd Regional Co-ordinator Adem Bilgic, Mayor of Mamusa Municipality Abdulhadi Krasnic, Mufti of Kosovo Islamic Union Pristina Besim Berisha, Public Administration Minister of Kosovo Mahir Yapcilar, MP of Kosovo Democratic Turkish Party Fikrim Damka, Turkish representatives Mamusa Iyit Timi Komutani Ustegemen Seyit Mustafa Altinkeser, Kosovo Deputy Coordinator of TIKA Zeki Bulduk, Representative of Kosovo Maarif School Yucel Spahi & Mensur Sejdiu, representatives from other attended the event that was held in capital Pristina.
The program began with the recitation from the Noble Quran, later following the inaugural speech from UDEF 2nd Regional Co-ordinator, Adem Bilgic.
In his speech, Mr. Bilgic said, “International students who travel to Turkey from far off their homes, we try our level best not leaving them alone being by their side in all situations. As UDEF, we strive to bridge hearts with the motive of Ansar-Muhajir Brotherhood. We support international students with counselling, guidance, stipend and accommodation, meanwhile, reminding them of their vital role in the establishment of a world full of peace”
Later addressing the event, First Secretary Onur Tanay said, “I would like to extend my due respect and gratitude towards UDEF for their activities and efforts. These activities not just are vital in promoting Turkey to outer world but also of greater importance from the perspective of international students.”
The cultural dance and musical performance added vibrant colors to the event. Visitors savored traditional Kosovo delicacies at the end of event.
