12th International Students’ Gathering held in Chad

UDEF’s 12th International Students’ Gathering, which brings a number of cultures together, under the auspices of the Presidency of Republic of Turkey, which is projected to be held in 91 cities of 51 different countries, was held in Chad.


With the slogan of “For a Just World, From East to West”, the 12th International Students’ Gathering was held in the Chad’s capital city of N’Djamena. Chad Turkish Alumni Developent and Cooperation Association hosted the program. President of ADATUR Abdulhamid Haroun, Vice Rector of N’Djamena University Atteib Djibrine Halalo, MP Adoum Hindi Achair, Deputy Mayor of N’Djamena Abdraman Tidjani, Deputy Head of Higher Education Board Oumar Djime Moussa, Turkish Ambassador for Chad H.E. Sabri Erdal Ergen, TIKA Coordinator for Chad Melih Mucahit Ates, Maarif Foundation Coordinator for Oguzhan Ugurlu and many Turkish alumni from chad attended the event.

Abdulhamid Haroun mentioned of many students graduating from Turkey in recent and said, “Turkish alumni established ADATUR. With a request from them and an approval from UDEF, we held the 12th International Students’ Gathering in Chad.”
Haroun also mentioned that the main objective of the union was to form and hold strong relations of alumni with organizations such the Embassy, Maarif Foundation and TIKA, meanwhile counselling students willing to go to Turkey for further studies.

UDEF Middle School Coordinator, Erlan Baianov spoke at the event saying, “Through the 12th International Students’ Gathering in 91 cities of 51 different countries we savor the joy of witnessing the get together of dozens voices and cultures.”
